Yes. However, you may have to wait until a seat is available.
The best man you will ever meet. His name is Paul and he is amazing.
Yes. You can make reservations online .
Dude, you will not be disappointed. I would suggest eating the fried chicken, macaroni, and muffins. Do not eat the greens! Repeat Do not eat the greens! They are so bland and seasoning does not help!
Its a nice spot. It has live jazz. I wouldn't go in there in my gym clothes.
Yes, can always called a head to co firm or check the website👍🏽
They do have a brunch on the weekends.

Oh my goodness!! I never thought I could find any new orleans food that was as good as places IN New Orleans. This restaurant is so incredible that it in now on my top five list of all the best places I have eaten all over the world. It also has options for gluten and dairy free!
The food was just ok. Thought the greens were too sweet. My mashed potatoes were flat and seemed watered down. Surprised there was no egg selection for a brunch option. The band was great.
My first time visiting. While the service was great, and the food selection was aplenty for the brunch, myself and the group I came with left with more to be desired as far as the food taste. When my friend asked what I thought I replied: This is the place you take the entire family, including Grandma who can't eat salt. Again, not at all bad, just not wowing. We visited to celebrate a friends birthday and the server asked the jazz musicians to give her a shout-out, which was very nice. Last con... I made my reservation weeks out and was not happy to wait an hour to be seated. I suspect they seat walk-ins, not accounting for what they have already reserved.
After a visit to our White House, we decided to settle on Georgia Brown's. Not much to say about them accept that if you're in the area gone head stop and grab yourself a bite. The gumbo and ribs came through as hoped. Any time a location has bread pudding as an option, I'm bound to get it and fortunately I was well pleased with how Georgia Brown's does it. I'm sure we'll be back.
Good food but they never get the temp right... Cold in the winter.. hot in the summer
Great upscale place but not stuffy. I hate stuffy, don't you? Wonderful staff. Attentive service and delicious hearty food. My husband had the catfish for an app, I had the pork belly. For dinner I had salmon stuffed with crab with rice and asparagus, hubby had the fried chicken and mashed potatoes. We were stuffed and thoroughly satisfied. Also our drinks were amazing. All of this does not come cheap, however, so keep that in mind. Great place to try that will probably become a favorite. We a lot of people on dates, love blooms in the air here.
Very cozy, warm, neutral type of atmosphere. Amber type lighting with classic r&b tunes playing. Food is good. I gave 4 stars because I was not a fan of the mac and cheese and I had to add salt and pepper to mac and cheese and greens. The fried catfish with red rice was very tasty. My favorite were the fried chicken livers. Mustard dipping sauce was yummy. Also, the cucumber mojito is delicious! Will, the bartender, is fantastic
Totally fine but nothing outstanding. Our party had a good time though, and the service was excellent.
I got the special. All the food was cooked perfectly. Scallops are easyly overcooked, specially when a restaurant is busy but they were cooked perfectly. I was impressed. The have a delicious salsa jam that goes well with their cornbread. I would give it 5 stars but our server was not attentive. Took about 15 minutes for our drinks, and my water was not refilled once.
The waitress was nice the food was delicious the place was clean can't waite to go back.
A couple of friends and I went for the Sunday Brunch, the food was excellent and the staff was super accommodating, and that was a huge deal considering they were booked and busy. The only thing that was a slight annoyance was the live music. Again, it was great just a bit loud and we had to shout to hear each other
The food was decent, but nowhere near what it was years ago. The biscuits were hard, and the food was under seasoned. I was given a glass that had lipstick on it, so the glass obviously wasn't cleaned prior to.
My go-to place for comfort food in Washington DC. Never had a bad meal there. Centrally located and with valet parking, making it fairly easy to go to. I always go with the fried chicken and add a side of grits. They frequently have peach desserts or peach drinks, all of which are awesome.
I love the food here! We just visited in celebration of our 10th wedding anniversary. My husband proposed to me after having dinner here ten years ago and I still love the food. Everything is tasty!
Georgia Brown's is usually one of my go to places when I have guests from out of town. However, last night the food was cold and not very appealing. I ordered the side order of grits and they were cold! How do you serve cold grits? The biscuits were small and hard. We arrived at approximately 8 p.m. and maybe that is the reason everything went awry. I will give them another chance oh, but it will be a while before I do so.
Sweet Georgia Brown's is another old friend of mine. My first visit was sublime. If you like Southern, almost certainly you'll like SGB. This time around I ordered off the happy hour menu, and it was still quite good. Bar service was friendly and helpful, too. Way to go!
Overrated, unseasoned, and over priced. I would not recommend this place for anything. However, I did enjoy the peach martini and cornbread. We spent over $200 and walked away with over 200 reasons NOT to come back or recommend it. Now the pictures do look great, yet the taste and flavor were nowhere to be found. We agreed that food from a cafeteria tastes better than here.
I haven't been to Georgia Brown's in a few years. It was cold, in the dead of winter they thought it wise to open all the windows during business hours to change the window dressing for Valentine's Day. Poor decision. The entire experience was uncomfortable. The food was just okay. The catfish fingers, back in 2007-20010, I used to order for catering at company events. Now- it's pale, has black seeds and not so good. I will say, however, the service was excellent. The whole team serviced the table and anticipated needs throughout the whole experience. I would return on that alone, I don't remember our server's name, unfortunately. Didn't make it to the bathroom though.........
Amazing Jazz and food. We got the $45 brunch Buffet that includes an entree to take home. A great place for visitors from out of town to grab Sunday brunch!
Ain’t nothing Low Country on this menu! I mean that as a compliment. This is elevated Low Country southern cuisine at it’s finest. Terrific ambiance. Steps away from Lafayette Park and White House.
Good ambience and excellent customer service. The lemondar was phenomenal. I had catfish which was salty and not flavorful. Salt isn't a seasoning. It was fluffy inside but their coating they fry it in isnt good.
Exquisite food, the lamb chops tasted amazing. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very inviting. Their Dark and Stormy cocktail was very tasty and the live band provided a pleasant soundtrack to the evening.
Worth it. Great service. Savory shrimp and grits is what I ordered, very satisfying. Catfish appetizer was well seasoned, fair priced, and fair portioned. Relaxing atmosphere, I look forward to returning. Short walk from the metro Farragut West I think for those commuting from Va.
Not a fan. Food was okay. I've had better. Overly priced for a salad. Waiter was very friendly and attentive. Don't think I will go back.🙁
Absolutely excellent. Rarely have I ever had a meal where I feel pretty should be given to the Man In Charge. Jim Foss is one of those men that deserves this praise.
The food was above average, but I'm not sure I can justify the taste being worth the cost. Service was excellent. If I could, 3.5 stars would be more accurate, but better than 3 overall. Atmosphere is nice...lighting was good for a romantic setting. We might go back to try other dishes, but it's not definite.
This is a beautiful restaurant I decided to visit with my family for my 40th birthday, however our waiter was very inattentive and we had to get the attention of another waiter for help. Also, the food looked delicious... looked is the key word. Our food wasn't seasoned it was bland and we had to spruce it up a little. Majority of my party said the food was "trash" and we visit DC again we will skip Georgia Brown's.
Went during happy hour, but the bar was packed and couldn't get a seat. The hostess said you gotta get there at 5 or earlier. The food and drinks were expensive, but the meal portion was large. The service was great. Our food came out really quick. I ordered the fried chicken that's served with greens and mashed potatoes. I enjoyed the meal.
Very vibrant and classy! Had an amazing waitress, Emily, that has been there 27 years and gave us great recommendations.
Was there on Saturday 9/15/2019 for a birthday party. The fried chicken livers were bitter. The peach cobbler was not real peach cobbler, there was no crust. I had the buttermilk fried chicken was juicy but had no real flavor. The restaurant was hot. The cornbread was good. The greens weren't very tasty. The service was also not that good. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The food was just OK. I've had better soul food at restaurants that were much less expensive. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
The food was delicious! Everything from the complementary corn bread & biscuit to the gumbo and fried catfish, was cooked to perfection!
Oh my goodness! The food just topped off an amazing trip to DC. The food was absolutely worth every minute. The service was impeccable! The shrimp & grits were divine. The ribs, the catfish and the chicken wings were excellent! The sides complimented the meal. The desserts were out of this world! Bread pudding, sweet potato cheesecake the pecans added to the goodness and the peach cobbler. Again it was the topping to a wonderful girls trip!❤️❤️❤️
Excellent customer service! Food was absolutely delicious. Umm, I like that fact that everything is fresh or made from scratch. I had the jumbo lump crabcakes, coleslaw and fries. Yummy! I'll definitely be back for more.
Food looked delicious. The meats didn't hold the flavor pass the skin. All though my son enjoyed the mac n cheese and sweet potatoes. The catfish was good. The shrimp overcooked.
I went here for New Year's Eve and I was thoroughly impressed. Our service was attentive and excellent. Our waitress was very kind. The food, which for us was the Prix Fixe menu, was excellently prepared and tasted wonderful. The drinks were a great treat (we ordered some of the house mixed drinks) and worth it.I think the best part of the night was the champagne that came on the house at the end of the dinner. What a wonderful surprise! I am really looking forward to my next visit.
The spare rib pot roast is great comfort food, delicious. And the jazz band was on point. Really enjoyed the meal.
Anytime I find myself in Wash DC I WILL make my way to Georgia Brown's again, my absolutely most favorite restaurant all week! Best fried chicken and their collards are life changing! Please open one in LA!
Lovely brunch. Extensive food selections. Background band was great. Wonderful time. Beautiful memories. Ask to sit in Merrill's section
Recommended by a friend but I am not sure why. The service was good however the food left a lot to be desired. The cornbread sticks and biscuits were hard and cold. The food wasn't seasoned the best although presentation looked good. Our Lyft driver laughed at us and asked why would we think the "soul food" would be authentic.
Overpriced, and underwhelming. Call me prejudiced, but you’re not selling me on the idea that a combination of 5 assorted white guys, Persians and Latinos making up the cooks in an historic black-owned soul food restaurant is gonna work out well. I got love for everybody, but I didn’t want to pay for some hack’s loose interpretation of Georgia Brown’s fried chicken and sides... For a $100 soul food lunch, I wanna see some melanin on duty! This place is an episode of Kitchen Nightmares waiting to happen. Old furniture and decor, disengaged staff, pedestrian grub... all they’ve got left is their good name. At this rate, that’ll be gone soon too.
Ambience was pleasant, food was quite good. Cocktails were fine, not great. If the service had been solid, I would have given it four stars. But despite having three tables, our server was extremely scarce and forgot to follow up on things like bringIng bread to the table. He was very friendly, but that didn’t make up for having to wait 20 minutes for our check at the end of a meal that had already dragged out way too long.
Excellent flavorful food! I had the She Crab Soup and a Ceasar Salad. Both were so tasty. The complimentary corn bread was very fresh, soft and delicious. Our waiter and waitresses were very friendly and professional. Overall wonderful experience!
I will return again when I'm in DC... southern style menu... cat fish, mac & cheese and fried chicken (the best). Also, they have other item, but for me cat fish and mac & cheese. Call earlier for reservations or it could be a wait for walk-ins. I would recommend to family and friends to visit when they are in the area.
Great Service. Nice Atmosphere. Food was Awesome. Crabcakes, Red Rice, and Yams were great. Long Island Ice Tea was Strong and Lovely. Mini Cornbread was awesome
I rated 5 stars because the food, atmosphere and music was great! We were entertaining friends from Germany and they LOVED it. The only issue was the AC not working making it very uncomfortable. We endured it for as long as we could before leaving.
This place was very nice.. great ambiance, food, and drinks.. a little pricey, but I enjoyed everything.. I had the Devil's Shrimp, mac n cheese, and spinach.. with a peach martini which was delish 👌🏿
The ambience, service and most of the food was excellent. The sampler appetizers, stuffed crabmeat shrimp with mac and cheese on top of sauteed spinach was delicious. The fried chicken breast with braised collard greens and small scoop of mashed potatoes were different. The mashed potatoes were tasteless and the braised collard greens were chewy. Also, it was too hot in there. Hence, the four stars.
This was an excellent place to dine at. Our waiter was awesome. He was very nice and well knowledgeable about D.C.
I can't believe this place is not packed on a Friday night! This is our 3rd night in DC and this has been our favorite dinner so far. Excellent food and wonderful service!
Excellent service, food was fast and hot . I had the fried chicken wth greens and mashed red potatoes it was delicious. The ambiance of the place is very elegant, and the prices aren't bad either !
